Operations & Fundraising Manager, Adopt a Grandparent

Michelle Husserl

Meet Michelle, our Fundraising and Operations Manager. Michelle's journey with AAG began as a volunteer, and it was in April 2020, after adopting her very own grandparent, that she made the decision to actively engage in the charity's daily operations.

Michelle is the founder of Mychelle's Baketique, an American bakery and baking school in London. In addition, she is the Co-founder of Community Care, a charity she helped launch during the COVID-19 pandemic which delivered essential support such as food, medication, and companionship to the elderly population who were isolated and alone during the pandemic.

When asked about her role, Michelle enthuses, "The most rewarding aspect of my work is being an integral part of something profoundly meaningful. 'Adopt a Grandparent' not only serves the well-being of each individual but also contributes to the greater good of our society. Safeguarding our elderly is imperative, as they are invaluable treasures for future generations. By creating opportunities for grandparents to cultivate meaningful friendships, we actively engage their minds, which in turn promotes positive mental health and overall happiness."
